My Story
Naive as it may sound; I wanted the world to be fair. When I realized it wasn't, I thought, "maybe I can't make the whole world fair, but I can make my little corner of it that way." None of us may know precisely what justice is, but we all know injustice when we see it. The question then is, what am I going to do about injustice?
I knew I wanted to help the "little" guy—the person who didn't have all the advantages that come with money and power. So I went to law school to become a lawyer. But I didn't want to be just any lawyer; I wanted to be a trial lawyer. I tried my first case about a month after I got my license to practice law.
For the next 12 years, I tried cases for people who were injured or otherwise wronged. I won more cases than I lost, but I didn't feel like I was getting my clients full justice. I wanted to be a better trial lawyer. Then in 2005, I went to Trial Lawyers College to do just that. There I learned what it really meant to be a lawyer for the people. I'm so proud to fight for the "Davids" of this world against the Goliaths.
